23 Days and Counting Down

I like this time of year when it starts to slowly cool down. We haven't gotten down into the sixties yet but nights in the seventy degree range is perfect. Sometime in the next two weeks, the scalping will begin and it will be really dusty for a while. Pity those with allergies. It's worth it though when the winter rye starts popping up. I'm starting to think about what winter annuals to plant. I'd like to have them in at the beginning of the season. The obvious choices are pansies and petunias. I love pansies but so do the rabbits and the eat them up quickly. I don't like petunias. I'm going to do some online research of what else will grow here.

Only 23 days till the outdoor NBA basketball game at the IW Tennis Gardens and a weekend visit from Gary and Jen and Gary's longtime friend Troy and his wife. We'll have a full house for the weekend.

I almost forgot - today is tax day. I have to go to the post office and make the envelopes are date stamped today. Darn those quarterly tax payments!
