One sick little kitty

Today was not a good day for Chippie. I knew something was wrong first thing this morning. He was acting like he had when Putt bit his butt last Christmas and started what became a huge abscess. I tried to see if there was anything going on but sweet little Chippie tried to bite me so I gave up. We saw a new vet and yes, he is sick. His temp is 2 degrees higher than it should be and he has a plugged anal gland. To those of you with dogs, you probably understand as this is somewhat common. With cats, not so common. He may also have a bad tooth so he is on an antibiotic and has to go back Friday morning. They will put him under, clean his teeth and if there is a bad one pull it as well as take care of the other problem if it doesn't burst before then. Wonder if the tooth fairy has to show up for this tooth??? It all sounds lovely doesn't it. He is such a sweet tempered boy (contrary to your experiences Jen). They loved him at the doctor's office, especially when he just laid there as they poked him several times to draw blood. I promise that I'll have him back in good spirits Jen when you guys get here Friday night. Stay tuned for the next Chippie update!!! And for all of you that struggle with pills and pets, Greenies makes a soft treat that has a hole in it to slip the pill in. Worked perfectly and he didn't even know it was there.
