Quiet days

It's been very quiet around here. Hot and quiet but we are starting to see fall in the air or maybe that is just wishful thinking. We are staying home this weekend and my personal painter will be over to do several more paintings. We've got five finished and hung in the hallway. They are a series of fruit abstracts. That hallway is a mile long or seems like it when you're tired and headed to the garage and this finishes it off. I'm even contributing to the art. I'm the background painter. You can't screw that up too badly when it's only one color. It speeds up the process for Pat and she can concentrate on the real art.

Gary and Jen are headed to Orlando tomorrow morning and then on to Port Canaveral on Sunday where they jump on their cruise ship and head to the Caribbean. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Tropical Storm Hanna (soon to be be Hurricane Hanna) doesn't cause them any problems but they aren't worried. They know I'll do all the worrying for them. The other hurricane (Gustav) is no big deal as it will be in the Gulf by then.

That's it for now. I'd rather read everyone blogs than do mine. The new ones I've been looking at, especially Amy and Michelle's have such good stuff and links on them and are really fun to read. Hope everyone has a fun Labor Day weekend!

Nope, not so. I painted the backgrounds only to speed up the process so we could get five paintings finished and hung up which we did.
